Former ‘Prison Break’ Actress Stars In Movie

Sarah Wayne Callies’ recent departure from the highly watched Prison Break isn’t the end of it for fans who are dying to see more of the actress. In fact, her straight-to-DVD movie, Whisper, is up for release on Tuesday, November 27 through NBC Universal Home Entertainment. Callies’ co-stars for the film include Lost’s Josh Hollway, Psych’s Dule Hill, and Australian actor Joel Edgerton, who previously appeared in Smokin’ Aces and Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith. The cast also includes child actor Blake Woodruff, who previously starred in the Cheaper by the Dozen films. Whisper is made by the same producers of the 2005 thriller, White Noise.

Stargate Actor Guest Stars On 24

Actor Michael Shanks takes a break from his anthropologist character on Stargate SG-1 to get a taste of some action on the award-winning series 24 on the episode 1:00 AM–2:00 AM, which will be aired on April 30. His participation on the series 24 will be seen in four episodes, which is part of an arc for season 6.

Shanks will be playing a role different from his Dr. Daniel Jackson role on Stargate Sg-1 as he will be portraying Mark Bishop who is a political lobbyist. Aside from playing a political lobbyist, he will be involved in a secret relationship with Lisa Miller (Kari Matchett), who is the assistant of Vice President Noah Daniels (Powers Boothe). One thing that’s unique about Shank’s participation on 24 is the romantic plot he brings with him, which is something fans hardly ever see on the action-packed series. In fact, this is something that the crew feels awkward about, being giggly and bashful while filming some love scenes.

O.c. Actor Stars In Miniseries

Peter Gallagher has gone from The O.C. to The Gathering. Now that FOX’s O.C. has been cancelled after four seasons, the handsome 51-year old actor is moving to Lifetime’s new miniseries called The Gathering.

The two-part thriller revolves around Dr. Michael Foster, played by Peter Gallagher, who embarks on a search for his wife who suddenly vanishes. His hunt takes him to the dark and sinister bowels of New York, where he uncovers the existence of a cabal of witches.

The Gathering is a collaboration of two masters of the sci-fi genre – Battlestar Galactica executive producer, David Eick and John Shiban, who served as producer/executive producer on The X-Files and Enterprise.

The Young and The Restless Actress Won’t Be Dancing With the Stars

Nia Peeples from CBS’ The Young and the Restless recently confirmed her non-participation on the new season of Dancing with the Stars. Contrary to reports that she was on this season’s list of celebrity competitors, she said that she won’t be appearing on the highly-watched series.

The 45-year-old singer-actress confirmed this through her official website.

“Guess what? It’s a [rumor]! But everyone here in town is hearing the same thing you’re hearing so don’t feel bad,” Nia Peeples said. However, she expressed delight in the thought that CBS had considered her for the reality series.
